get 2 gold sephis axe so far, 1 non max
also got a +30hp wrapping, a 20% ench and a 20/20 for bow
bought myself a 20% skeletonslaying and lightning mod...put it on a 15% enchtanted axe ! he's dead real fast now !

Lightning mod is unnessesary if you use Judge's Insight because it transforms your damage to holy damage.

I use a smiting wammo build
I've been on and off again running out to Rotscale and the area around statue since last fall, some good drops but mostly garbage. I kill all the undead in the area for rare crafting materials and dust.
my skillbar: riposte,deadly riposte,holy strike,stonesoul strike, SoJ,sprint, batlth's spirit, healing sig.
attribs: (3 sups) 370 health - canthan bezerkers armor,Kanaxai's edge, endgame str shield
smiting-12
sword-9
strength-9
tactics-14
all of these skills can be used while blind, i hit SoJ before aggro'ing Rotscale that way it can't be interupted. About 2-3 min to drop him with this build, and still be able to kill all the other mobs in the area very fast.

Well, my build takes about 30-45 seconds to take down the Rotscale and its much less energy heavy.

@ mr dj: I know that judges converts the dmg to holy...BUT here's what guildwiki says: wiki says: Undead creatures take double damage from holy damage and light damage.
this would make judges unneccesairy, and replaced with let's say disrupting shop? I've had it more then once that i interupt his first heal area, and 5 seconds later , he spams it again, and my disctracting chop hasn't recharged, that's just realy ARGL !
I've got my final exams for school, so I only used my new axe 3 times....I'm not playing for the next 2 - 3 weeks, so I can't tell you what the dmg would be without judges and just with the shocking mod.
But i'm thinking of making a more detailed guide after my exams, a real step by step ( not that yours is bad ! ). I hope you don't mind about that ? ( if you wanna help me, i'd be honored )
and I just realy want to thank you for this great guide ! I've done nothing else since I read this, not just for the loot, but it's a great way of farming

Light damage isnt lightning damage cheese so you need judhes or just prepare for a long bash

Ok, here's the hint. Mod your axe with fiery hilt. They take double damage from fire weapons and if Judge's Insight runs out, you will still be doing a lot of damage.

hmpf, I feel ashamed right now ><
oke, so if I put a fiery mod on my axe, then he still would take double damage ? in that case judes wouldn't be needed hard ? the 20% Armor penetration is a handy bonus, but the 20% deathbane/skeletonslaying would make that no big problem I think.

hmmm, that rotscale isn't as good as a normal lv.30 in my opinion, he is more like lv.22 in my opinion, not even close to the fow dragons on lv.30 so.....dunno why he's lv.30

its like when we reach a year older we grow a level, therefore when they get to higher levels their start to wind down in their strength/agility when you hear glint talk doesnt she seem old, in fow i can explain, they are driven to travel the uw to make sure they are the only one who gets the shards. that consumes all of ther thoughts so they dont really consider getting older...
that just came from the top of my head

Is this Rotscale even a boss? Someone oughta try capping from it to see, if it isnt a boss then that'll explain why its so easy to kill. I've noticed he doesnt have a monk bosses blue aura.

I also like to take a smiting build when soloing Rotscale. It’s something like this.
Healing= 8
Smiting= 12
Axe= 9
Tactics= 8 (I believe I have a superior rune and a tactics helm)
Sprint
Healing Sig
Healing Breeze
Cyclone Axe
SoJ
Holy Strike
Balthazar’s Spirit
Mending (because I use a +15% (enchanted) Axe and +44/-2 (enchanted) Shield
I like it because on your way there you get blinded quite a bit, and you don’t have to see to use SoJ.
Also when fighting Rotscale, just use Holy Strike every time he gets knocked down from SoJ. You have to time your SoJ cast very well, just wait for him to shoot you with choking gas and wait for the duration to end, then cast SoJ. You don’t have to pull him from the others and that way you can kill all 5 at the same time. I think you can kill Rotscale faster with the build from Mr D J, but you will kill all 5 dragons faster with this build. .... Coupling SoJ with Holy Strike = Massive Damage. You should also see how fast SoJ kills those 30+ ghouls (just stand there)
And for the post at the beginning of this thread (somewhere), there is a place that I like to farm that has 30+ ghouls and you dont have to ever worry about getting blinded.... its fun.
Smite Hex would also be a nice skill to put in there, but I can’t remember if you ever get hexed along the way.
Not trying to take anything away from Mr. D J's build, I like it and will try it tonight.
